The CollegeBoard PROFILE

The PROFILE is a financial aid form produced by the College Board and is required for colleges who typically have institutional money to give to students.  The PROFILE asks more questions than the FAFSA, like the worth of your home and usually has an earlier deadline than the FAFSA.  Check your colleges and know if the PROFILE is required and the school's deadlines.

Remember...the PROFILE means MONEY!

DID YOU KNOW?

Most students pay less than a college’s sticker price thanks to financial aid. Your net price is a college’s total cost minus grants and scholarships you receive. It's a discount of your college costs that you do not have to pay back.

For example, the average published price of tuition and fees at a four-year public college is $10,600, but the average net price — what the average family really pays — is just $2,910.
